Coconut & Cacao Protein Bliss Balls — Low FODMAP

These coconut and cacao protein bliss balls are the snack you'll want to keep a batch of in the fridge at all times. Rich, fudgy and rolled in coconut, they taste like a treat but quietly deliver clean plant protein — with nothing that upsets a sensitive gut.

They lead with Blissful Brown Rice & Raw Cacao — just organic brown rice protein and organic raw cacao, and one of only two That Protein blends that are FODMAP Friendly certified. Perfect if you're in the strict phase of a low FODMAP diet.

Why these work

No baking, no refined sugar, and no inulin or chicory root — just oats, nut butter, cacao and coconut. Desiccated coconut is low FODMAP at around 2 tablespoons per serving, so rolling each ball in a light coating keeps everything gentle.

Ingredients (makes 12)

  • 100g rolled oats
  • 1 serving Blissful Brown Rice & Raw Cacao
  • 3 tbsp smooth almond butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut, plus extra for rolling
  • 2–3 tbsp plant milk, to bind

Method

  1. Mix the oats, Blissful protein and desiccated coconut in a bowl.
  2. Stir in the almond butter and maple syrup, then add plant milk a little at a time until the mixture holds together.
  3. Roll into 12 balls, then roll each in extra coconut to coat.
  4. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.

Storage

Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. For a peanut version, swap the almond butter for peanut butter and use Nutty Nutty (low FODMAP).
