These no-bake peanut protein flapjacks are the perfect grab-and-go snack — chewy, satisfying and made with real ingredients. No oven, no fuss, and crucially, no inulin, chicory root or polyol sweeteners that upset sensitive guts. Just press, chill and slice.
They're built on oats and Nutty Nutty Peanut Butter Super Protein — a tested low FODMAP blend of organic peanut, pea and chia protein — so they deliver proper plant protein alongside that classic flapjack chew.
Why no-bake works
Skipping the oven keeps these soft and chewy rather than crisp, and means they come together in about ten minutes plus chilling. Oats are low FODMAP at a 52g serving, so portioning into squares keeps everything gut-friendly.
Ingredients (makes 9 squares)
- 200g rolled oats (certified gluten-free if needed)
- 1 serving Nutty Nutty Peanut Butter Super Protein
- 4 tbsp smooth peanut butter (100% peanuts)
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp melted coconut oil
- Pinch of sea salt
Method
- Mix the oats, Nutty Nutty and salt together in a bowl.
- Warm the peanut butter, maple syrup and coconut oil together until smooth, then pour over the dry mix and stir well.
- Press firmly into a lined small tin — the firmer you press, the better they hold.
- Chill for at least 1 hour, then slice into 9 squares.
Storage & swaps
Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. For a chocolate version, add 1 tbsp raw cacao or use Blissful Brown Rice & Raw Cacao (FODMAP Friendly certified). A few dairy-free dark chocolate chips pressed on top never hurt.
